Visiting Indy Friends

Yesterday we were able to visit some of our friends in Indy that we don't get to see very often. Even though its less than an hour away we really don't get to spend that much time with our friends that have moved to the Indy area. With Ella still at grandma and grandpas from the wedding night, we headed down for lunch with Josh and Melissa. Josh and Karl were in med school together and now Josh just started his official surgical residency. It was great to catch up with them and it gave Karl and Josh a chance to talk medical stuff while Melissa and I enjoyed our lunch on the patio of the Bourbon Street Grill. After lunch, we went to Katie and Nicks to get ready for the Indians game. Paige was napping when we got there so I think she was surprised to see two new people in her house when she woke up. Nick is able to get free tickets to the games through work so he got enough for 6 of us and we met Lauren and her roommate Karin at the game. Karl and I haven't been to Victory Field in a while but the games are always fun. Paige was a lot of fun as usual and enjoyed bouncing around between the 6 adults and eating some of everyones treats. It was really hot and our seats were in the sun the whole time but it was still fun. The Indians were ahead in the top of the 9th, 3-1 so we decided to pack up the baby and head out to try and beat the crowd thinking that by the time we got to the gate to leave the game would be over. Wouldn't you know that as soon as we get to the gate, the other team hits a 2 run homer to tie it and they go into extra innings! To tell you the truth, I don't even know who won. We were hot and tired after the long weekend so we headed back to pick up the Ella dog. She was exhausted after playing with Sammy and Macy all day so we all crashed early!
